Our beloved and highly productive egg-laying hen, Ellie passed last night of natural causes. She joined our family on Easter morning, over 8 years ago and has outlived all of our hens. She was by far the friendliest and most playful. Not only did she pose for many pictures with family and friends and play chase with our Jack Russel Terrier, Sadie - she provided delicious eggs for our family's breakfasts for many years. She will truly be missed.
