Goodbye Miss Ellie

Our beloved and highly productive egg-laying hen, Ellie passed last night of natural causes. She joined our family on Easter morning, over 8 years ago and has outlived all of our hens. She was by far the friendliest and most playful. Not only did she pose for many pictures with family and friends and play chase with our Jack Russel Terrier, Sadie - she provided delicious eggs for our family's breakfasts for many years. She will truly be missed.

Orange County Fair '08

Daddy, Lucas & Kate took Grammy to the OC Fair this past Friday. Always a fun treat to see the farm animals, ride the fun rides & even watch PIG RACES, of all things.

"Say Cheese" was this year's theme at the OC Fair. How perfect to start out with a "cheesy" shot of Lucas as a dairy farmer!

Lucas takes his role seriously and didn't hesitate to get right down to business.

He really got into milking the cow!
